Connie Golds has dedicated her life to uplifting the Coachella Valley. As the retired founder of Desert Best Friend’s Closet, she led the region’s only nonprofit offering free interview training and professional wardrobe services. During her 14-year tenure, DBFC helped over 8,000 individuals build confidence and find employment.
A respected voice in nonprofit leadership, Connie has served on numerous local, regional, and national boards, including the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council. She also holds a Black Belt in Shito-Ryu Karate-Do and teaches both neurodivergent and neurotypical students.
Connie is a proud mother, grandmother, and 40-year desert resident. Guided by her motto—“leave the world a little better than you found it”—she continues to empower others through her work and mentorship.
