California Winter League Celebrates Pride Day and City of Indian Wells Day with Special Weekend Events
Palm Springs, Calif. - This weekend at Palm Springs Stadium, there is much more to the experience than just world-class professional baseball. On Saturday, January 31st, the CWL is proud to host Pride Day, a celebration of diversity and inclusion within the Coachella Valley community. Highlighting the pre-game festivities, local favorite and renowned singer MaMa Silver will take the field to perform the national anthem before the featured matchup between the Manitoba North Stars and the Palm Springs Power. First pitch is set for 12:30 pm. Fans can also take advantage of $3 Beer Day, where Bud Light and Budweiser draft beers will be available for just $3 throughout the game.
The excitement continues Sunday, February 1st, as the stadium hosts the City of Indian Wells Day during a high-stakes battle between the Palm Springs Power and the Alberta Grizzly. In a special tribute to the local community, all residents of Indian Wells will receive a complimentary "Power Ticket" upon showing a valid ID. This all-inclusive package features game admission, a hot dog, a soda, a bag of chips, and a commemorative drink koozie. The afternoon’s contest will be officially inaugurated with two ceremonial first pitches delivered by Indian Wells Mayor Dr. Toper Taylor at 12:30 pm and Councilmember Bruce Whitman at 10:00 am.
In addition to the city-wide celebration, Sunday serves as Family Day at the ballpark. To ensure the game is accessible for everyone, all general admission tickets are discounted to just $5, and kids 12 and under get in for free. Whether you are coming for the high-caliber rivalry between the Power and the Grizzly, the community celebrations, or the family-friendly atmosphere, Palm Springs Stadium is the place to be this weekend.
