Hanson House Foundation Announces 23rd Annual Gala: “An Evening at COPA: Where Rhythm Meets Philanthropy”

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Hanson House Foundation will host its 23rd Annual Gala, “An Evening at COPA: Where Rhythm Meets Philanthropy,” on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Palm Springs Air Museum.

Inspired by the glamour and energy of the legendary Copacabana, the evening will feature dinner by Lulu California Bistro, live entertainment with dancers, dancing, silent and live auctions, and inspiring stories from families Hanson House serves.

Desert Care Network is the Platinum Sponsor of this year’s gala as we honor four community leaders for their generosity, service, and commitment to the Coachella Valley:
? Dick Shalhoub, Business Leader & Philanthropist
? Gerald “Jerry” Keller, Lulu California Bistro
? Linda Evans, Mayor of La Quinta | Chief Strategy OUicer, Desert Care Network
? Oliver Jack, Founder, PositiviTEE Foundation

The evening will also recognize Sherman Tam with the Dr. Ercoli Impact Award, honoring his exceptional volunteer service and dedication to advancing Hanson House Foundation's mission.

“We are honored to recognize individuals who demonstrate what it means to lead with generosity and purpose,” said Ivonne Moreno, Executive Director of Hanson House Foundation. “Their impact reaches far beyond Hanson House and re?ects the incredible spirit of service throughout our community.”

“I’m humbled to be one of this year’s Hanson House Foundation Gala honorees. Sharing and supporting the mission of Hanson House as a ‘home away from home’ for families in their time of need feels natural because HOME is my special place,” said Linda Evans, 2026 Gala Honoree. “The staU and volunteers are compassionate and caring, and it gives me pride to know the positive impact made by those who stay at Hanson House.”

Impact That Keeps Families Close
In the past year, Hanson House provided more than 4,400 room nights, served over 1,100 individuals, and helped families save an estimated $633,600 in lodging costs while they remained close to loved ones and critical medical care.

The gala has an overall fundraising goal of $200,000 to support “Spaces of Care,” which helps provide aUordable lodging, guest amenities, family-centered resources, and other critical support throughout a family’s medical journey.
